3. Products

HardenLab currently offers digital Windows hardening products for small business environments.

The current main product is:

  • HardenLab Local Pack

The HardenLab Local Pack is a digital hardening and policy package for small Windows environments without Active Directory. It is designed for local deployment and a conservative, supportable scope.

Unless explicitly stated otherwise, the product does not include:

  • consulting services
  • custom engineering
  • on-site work
  • managed services
  • guaranteed compatibility with third-party software outside the stated support scope

4. Supported scope

Unless otherwise stated on the product page, the current intended scope of HardenLab Local Pack is limited to:

  • Windows 11 Pro and Enterprise
  • primary target: Windows 11 25H2
  • Windows 11 24H2 also supported
  • languages: de-DE and en-US
  • local deployment via LGPO.exe
  • environments without Active Directory

The core baseline currently focuses on:

  • Microsoft Defender
  • Firewall
  • UAC / LSA-related settings
  • Windows Update

The following are outside the supported scope unless explicitly stated otherwise:

  • Active Directory / domain-based deployment
  • Domain Controllers
  • RDS environments
  • Windows Home
  • server products
  • Intune / MDM / Autopilot managed environments
  • zero-touch or centrally managed fleet rollout
  • Office / Microsoft 365 / Adobe hardening
  • production-critical specialty software outside the documented support scope

5. License variants and pricing

The product may be offered in multiple license variants. Current examples include:

  • Solo: up to 3 devices
  • Team: up to 10 devices
  • Business: up to 25 devices

Prices, included items, and any applicable taxes or charges are shown on the relevant product page or checkout page.

6. Contract formation

By placing an order, the customer submits an offer to purchase the selected product under these Terms and Conditions.

A contract is concluded when the order is accepted and payment is successfully processed through the checkout provider.

The customer is responsible for reviewing the order before submission and correcting any input errors before completing checkout.

7. Delivery

Products are delivered digitally.

Delivery may take place through one or more of the following methods:

  • download link
  • email
  • customer access page
  • license delivery workflow
  • time-limited download endpoint

The customer is responsible for providing a valid email address and for ensuring that delivery emails and download links can be received.

8. Customer responsibilities

Before deployment, the customer is responsible for:

  • verifying that the target system is within the documented support scope
  • reviewing the available documentation
  • testing first on a pilot device where appropriate
  • creating backups, snapshots, or other recovery options before applying changes
  • checking business-critical workflows and software compatibility in their own environment

The customer remains responsible for the operation of their own systems and for verifying that the product is suitable for their intended use.

9. No guarantee of universal compatibility

HardenLab products are designed with a conservative scope, but system configurations and third-party software environments vary.

HardenLab does not guarantee universal compatibility with all hardware, software, security products, line-of-business applications, or customer-specific configurations.

Statements on the website, in documentation, or in support communication do not create any warranty beyond the explicitly documented support scope.

10. Intellectual property and license

All product content, scripts, packaging, documentation, structure, and related materials remain the intellectual property of HardenLab unless otherwise stated.

The customer receives a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the purchased product within the purchased license scope.

Unless expressly permitted in writing, the customer may not:

  • resell the product
  • sublicense the product
  • redistribute the product
  • publish the product files
  • share download links or license materials with unauthorized third parties
  • remove copyright or attribution notices

11. Updates and changes

HardenLab may improve, revise, replace, or discontinue product components, delivery methods, documentation, or packaging at any time.

Unless explicitly stated otherwise at the time of purchase, a purchase does not create an obligation to provide indefinite future updates, upgrades, or compatibility maintenance.

12. Support

Any support is limited to the scope explicitly stated on the website or product documentation.

Support does not include:

  • custom policy design
  • environment-specific consulting
  • forensic analysis
  • emergency incident response
  • compatibility work for unsupported third-party applications
  • administration of customer systems

13. Refunds and cancellation

Due to the digital nature of the products, and because delivery or access may be granted immediately after purchase, refunds are generally not offered once delivery has taken place, unless:

  • required by mandatory law, or
  • expressly agreed by HardenLab in writing

Unless explicitly stated otherwise, no voluntary right of cancellation or refund is granted after digital delivery.

14. Warranty disclaimer

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, HardenLab products are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.

HardenLab does not warrant that:

  • the product will be uninterrupted or error-free
  • the product will fit every customer environment
  • the product will achieve a specific compliance, security, or business outcome
  • the product will remain compatible with all present or future Microsoft, hardware, or third-party changes

15. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, HardenLab shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or economic damages, including but not limited to:

  • loss of profit
  • loss of revenue
  • loss of data
  • downtime
  • business interruption
  • recovery costs
  • third-party claims arising from customer deployment or use

The customer is responsible for testing, backup, staged rollout, and recovery planning before applying hardening changes.

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes liability where exclusion is not permitted under applicable law.

16. Privacy

Information about the processing of personal data is provided in the Privacy Policy on this website.

17. Changes to these Terms

HardenLab may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time.

The version published on the website at the time of purchase applies to that purchase, unless mandatory law requires otherwise.

18. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms and Conditions are governed by Swiss law, excluding conflict of laws rules.

Subject to mandatory law, the place of jurisdiction is the registered place of the provider in Switzerland.
